As I am learning, there is no telling the many kinds of meetings and discussions I will get to have in any given day here at CCS. But what I love about this job is that God is blessing me through conversations directed at the HEART!  Each day, as the Dean of Students, I get to meet with teachers, students, parents and administrators who are all in need of heart-transformation and mind-renewing (see Romans 12:2).
I may be talking with an Elementary student about choosing words that will honor Jesus and bless their friends.  I can be talking with a High School student about their behavior in class and how Christ is at work exposing their sin and yet loving them at the same moment.  I can be talking on the phone with a parent, letting them know what is happening at school with their son or daughter and asking for help in seeing their child succeed - both spiritually and academically.
And at each moment of the day, in any of those kinds of conversations, I am learning that I myself am in need of a Savior - who will rescue me from my sins, my poor choices and myself! And this same Savior will continue to transform me, and them, day-by-day into the image and likeness of Christ.
I love my job.  I love being a part of the Covenant Christian School family.  And I am so blessed to work with a fantastic staff and incredible kids.  But most of all I am thankful for a faithful God who always leads and guides me every step I take on this campus.
